Meet the Dogs Behind Dog Coffee Pottery

We’re Beans, Idgie, and Luna — the official Quality Control Team, Muse Department, and Snack Consumption Specialists at Dog Coffee Pottery. We’re pawsitively ecstatic you’re here!

Together, we ensure every piece of pottery is created with joy, mischief, and just a sprinkle of fur. Thanks for supporting our human’s craft. You may now proceed to buy things. We encourage it. We definitely get treats when you do.

— Sincerely,
Beans, Idgie & Luna

Beans: I’m the manager. I didn’t ask for the job, but someone has to make sure the human keeps the clay warm, the treats flowing, and the vibes immaculate. If you see a paw-print somewhere it might have been an accident… or it might be my signature. You’ll never know.

Idgie: I’m in charge of morale. I accomplish this by trotting through the studio at emotionally inconvenient times, staring directly into the human’s soul, and demanding pets with great urgency. Without me, none of these mugs would have the proper amount of love (or dog hair) baked in.

Luna: I am the intern, but I fully intend to take over the entire operation. My specialties include dramatic sighing, supervising from a sunbeam, and alerting everyone when a leaf moves outside. I also provide inspiration for the “chaotic energy” collections.

Welcome to Dog Coffee Pottery! I’m Jess—potter, social worker, therapist, and full-time believer in the healing power of both clay and connection. My days are spent helping people find their voice, their strength, and their center… and somewhere in between, I slip into my studio where clay helps me do the same.

Here, the world slows down. Glazes wander, colors bloom, and each piece grows a personality as unique as the people I meet in my therapeutic work. I chase whimsy, honor happy accidents, and let intuition guide the shapes that rise beneath my hands. Some pieces emerge soft and serene; others come out a little mischievous—as if they’ve wandered through a dream before landing on my shelf.

My studio is fueled by coffee, music, and the occasional interruption from my four-legged supervisors, who take their roles very seriously (especially when treats are involved). Every mug, bowl, and creature is crafted with intention—meant to be held, used, loved, and to spark joy in the quiet rituals of daily life.

Whether you’re searching for a mug that feels like a hug, a bowl with its own quirky charm, or a vessel touched by a hint of everyday magic, I’m so glad you’ve found your way here. Thank you for supporting handmade art, storytelling through clay, and the little moments that make life feel warm and real.

Come get cozy—let’s find the piece that feels like it was made just for you.
